The ashes of Sir Charles Peers are buried in the Islip chapel. He was Surveyor of the Fabric at the Abbey from 1935 to 1951.

The ashes of Howard Millar Nixon, Librarian of Westminster Abbey, and his wife Enid, are buried just beside the Library door in the east cloister.

A memorial to Sir P.G. Wodehouse was unveiled at Westminster Abbey in September 2019. The stone is near the memorial to Noel Coward.

Westminster Abbey’s Choir sang for Pope Benedict XVI, with the Cappella Musicale Pontificia ‘Sistina’, the Sistine Chapel Choir, at the Papal Mass marking the Solemnity of St Peter and St Paul in St Peter’s Basilica, Rome, on Friday 29th June, a historic occasion of great significance for Anglican-Catholic relations.
